NBEMS has accredited several hospitals in Jammu & Kashmir have accredited for more than 300 postgraduate medical seats across various specialties in the last few years.
NBEMS organized a workshop on Communication in Healthcare on 23rd September, 2023 at the Government Dental College & Hospital, Shereen Bagh, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The workshop aimed at strengthening the medical faculty & the trainees of J&K in effective communication and patient safety.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology, MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space graced the workshop as Chief Guest.
President, NBEMS Dr. Sheth; Vice President NBEMS, Dr. Bajpai; Chairperson of the NBEMS Committee for communication & professional development and Governing Body Member, Dr. Shishta. N Basu; Dr. Rakesh Sharma, OSD to PNBEMS & GB Member; Sh. Bhupinder Kumar IAS, Secretary to Govt of J&K, Dept. of Health and Medical Education, and other dignitaries were present. Dr. Ajay Kumar, eminent Urologist; Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay, Senior Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist; Dr. Sitangshu Basu, eminent General and laparoscopic Surgeon; Dr. G. G. Laxman Prabhu, eminent Urologist were amongst the speakers present in the workshop.More than 400 faculty and trainees from different hospitals of J&K participated in the workshop and benefitted.
